Caron New York Recovery Center Programs

Lifelong recovery support and addiction prevention education are right here.

Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program offers comprehensive, individualized drug, alcohol, and nicotine prevention services and healthy living programs for elementary and high school students, parents, guardians, and professionals working with young people. Caron collaborates with schools, families, communities, and other organizations to provide approximately 120,000 kids, professionals, and parents/caregivers with contracted, fee-for-service, and grant-funded programs and services each year.

Family Coaching and Education

Family members can find critical help through family services offered by Caron New York Recovery Center.

The Family Coaching Program supports and guides family members who have been affected by a loved one’s addiction. A therapist meets via weekly phone or video conference sessions with family members to educate them about the physical and behavioral health effects of substance use disorder and refer them to supportive resources.

A half-day Family Education Program provides education about substance abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, detox, and treatment options, including medication-assisted treatment.

Specialized Support Group Program

Support groups are essential to leading fulfilling lives for those in recovery and their families because they offer inspiration, responsibility, and hope. Support groups are integral to the mental health of people in recovery and their family members, providing encouragement, accountability, and hope. Currently, the Caron New York Recovery Center offers group therapy for:

  • Gender-specific early recovery
  • Parents
  • Significant other support (SOS)
  • Siblings
  • Families of Caron Renaissance alumni
  • Older adults
  • Emotional resilience

Fellowship groups connect alumni, families, and friends for mutual support and community. Caron New York currently offers a Long Island Group.

Recovery Support Services Program

During your recovery process, our Recovery Support Services assist you with transitions, particularly those that may be more challenging, like moving back home from residential treatment. Aftercare services include screenings, stabilization, case management, re-integration planning, and individual and family recovery coaching.

Caron New York Recovery Support Services is a private pay program. We collect payment at admission for agreed-upon services. As non-licensable services, there is no expectation of reimbursement through insurance. There are opportunities for financial assistance based on need.

Whether you were treated at Caron or not, you can still take advantage of these services. Click here to learn more about Recovery Support Services.
