Christopher J. Maguire

Christopher J. Maguire was selected as the 2021 recipient of the Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence for his generous support of Caron and helping so many families affected by addiction. His generosity and advocacy have made a significant difference for so many in need.

As an active Caron Alumni who has served in numerous roles for Caron over the years, Chris first joined the Greater Philadelphia Regional Advisory Board and the Trustees in 2014. He was Chair of the Finance Committee from 2014 until 2018 and then became Chair of the Marketing Committee. He currently serves on the Marketing, Finance, Investment and Executive Committees.

In 2015 Chris and his wife Ellen founded the Ellen and Christopher Maguire Endowed Scholarship Fund for the purpose of funding scholarships at Caron for adolescents and young adults, giving many in our community hope for a brighter future.

Chris is currently the President of 1251 Insurance of 1251 Capital Group. Prior to joining the firm, he was the President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer of Philadelphia Insurance Companies where he gained over 25 years of insurance operating experience. Chris is also involved in the real estate business as a partner in the Maguire Hayden Real Estate Fund. Chris currently serves as the Chairman of the Cobbs Creek Restoration and Community Foundation, he serves on the Board of Maguire Foundation, Lio Insurance Company, and Caron Treatment Centers. Mr. Maguire holds a B.A. in English from Villanova University.
