Prevention Services
Giving young people straightforward information and healthy ways to cope is the basis of our prevention education programs. We work with elementary and high school teachers as well as children and youth organizations and parents to educate young people on the dangers of substance use abuse:
- Teen Intervene is an evidence-based, educational early intervention program for students (ages 12-19) who have issues with drugs/alcohol that need attention.
- The Student Assistance Program provides comprehensive, customized drug, alcohol, and nicotine prevention services and healthy living programs for elementary and high school students as well as parents, caregivers, and youth-serving professionals.

Assessments
A licensed therapist trained in substance use disorders conducts a thorough assessment, which includes physical and mental health as well as medical history. Based on the results of that assessment, the therapist meets with the patient (and family members, if appropriate) to discuss a treatment plan.
