Aaron Rineer

His role includes facilitating groups and providing individual counseling. He uses principles of 12-step, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy in his work. Aaron keeps track of patients’ progress and treatment needs and offers resources as needed. He also assists with services for LGBTQIA+ patients.

Before taking on this position at Caron in 2024, Aaron was a behavioral health counselor at a counseling center. In addition to group therapy and treatment planning, he provided crisis intervention and tracked patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed. In a previous position, he was part of the clinical team at an LGBT center where he oversaw program development and execution while assisting a team of therapists in training and offered trauma-informed therapy to clients. As a clinical intern at the LGBT center, Aaron offered mental health counseling for clients of different ages and life stages.

In addition to his clinical experience, Aaron was the director of development at the LGBT center, designing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals. He also worked for four years as a therapeutic support staff for children with autism and their families.

Between 2016 and 2018, Aaron worked for Caron as a behavioral health technician and behavioral health technician supervisor, managing day-to-day patient care and supervising a team of behavioral health technicians.

He has a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Alvernia University, Reading, Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Millersville University, Millersville, Pennsylvania.
