Brian Hughes

Brian Hughes shares his experience and resources with individuals, families, referents, community organizations, and others to connect them to life-saving addiction and mental health treatment, delivering a message of hope.
He advocates for the necessity of treatment and assists people in navigating the treatment field in order to find the help they need. In addition to offering Caron’s renowned programs and services, Brian works with people to find solutions that fit their needs and circumstances. He offers lived experiences and solutions, hosts visits to Caron facilities, passionately promotes the importance of treatment, and most importantly, makes himself available as needed to assist individuals and families.
In addition to having been a resource director for another treatment organization, Brian worked for several years as a recovery coach and peer advocate. That experience as well as his personal experience with addiction, treatment, and recovery fuel his dedication to and passion for his work and the courageous people who want to better their lives and deal with the disease that is addiction. Brian is glad to support those brave people with respect and dignity as their start their recovery journey to achieve transformational change in their lives and the lives of their loved ones.
Brian is a certified recovery coach with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University in Tempe. He volunteers his time at local hospitals, recovery centers, and restorative justice programs for individuals suffering from substance use disorder pre- and post-incarceration.
