Cheryl Scott

As a member of the treatment team, she also provides medical consultation and education about medical topics related to addiction for patients as needed.

She began working at Caron as a nurse in 2020. Prior to joining Caron, Cheryl provided similar services at another outpatient treatment center. She has been a registered nurse since 1998 and has spent most of her career working in the psychiatric and addiction fields.

Cheryl has an associate degree in nursing from Georgia Perimeter College.

My focus is ensuring that patients receive the individualized treatment Caron is known for by gathering the information needed to have a complete record of each patient’s situation and needs.

Medical care is one part of the job I do. The other is education. If a patient and family come to treatment but aren’t educated about what to do when they return home, treatment will not be as effective as it could be.”
