Chris Naftzinger is a Recovery Support Specialist in the My Recovery Connection Program. In this role, he supports and guides both clients and their family members in the year after they leave treatment, helping them to create healthy lives in recovery.

The foundation of his work is compassion and empathy for those seeking help to find recovery, along with expert listening skills.

He came to Caron in 2004 as a counselor assistant and then moved in 2008 into a position as a counselor on various units. He spent three years in the Recreation Department before taking on a Behavioral Health Therapist position in the Adult Men’s unit in 2020.

Chris has a Bachelor of Arts in addiction studies from Alvernia University and is a certified alcohol and drug counselor.
