Deborah MacDonald

As regional resource director working nationally and in Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuykill Counties in Pennsylvania, Deborah MacDonald assists referents, individuals, and families to find substance use disorder and mental health treatment.
In this role, Deb cultivates relationships with therapists, healthcare providers, and others and helps individuals and families access resources and treatment that meet their needs. With her expertise and Caron’s resources and industry standing, Deb is available as needed for consultation.
She has almost two decades of experience in the addiction and mental health treatment field, primarily developing relationships and partnerships with organizations, businesses, and referents to increase access to treatment for those who need it. In addition, Deb has managed quality assurance for a treatment center and overseen building operations at another center.
Deb is passionate about ensuring that individuals and families have access to treatment and recovery resources, and has been deeply involved in the field as a volunteer as well as a professional. She currently serves as the founding officer of the Pennsylvania Provider Liaison Association, a role she has had for almost 10 years. In 2012, she received Caron Foundation’s Unsung Hero Award. She served on the board of directors for the Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse for two years. Deb is also the vice president and a member of the Central Montgomery County Business & Professional Women.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
