As the regional vice president of development in Atlanta, Elizabeth Spears advances Caron’s fundraising efforts in the Piedmont-Atlantic sub-region, including leadership and coordination of the annual Atlanta Gala, as well as the management and growth of the Atlanta Regional Advisory Board.
Elizabeth began in this role in 2024. As an active Caron alumnus, she is grateful for the organization that was not only transformative personally but also opened the door to a new career path fueled by passion for the recovery process. Prior to taking on this role, she worked in Caron Atlanta’s outpatient treatment center since 2021 as the office manager and the first point of contact for potential patients.
Prior to coming to Caron, Elizabeth held a 25-year career with the federal government, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she specialized in public health policy, strategic planning, and communications. Earlier in her career, Elizabeth worked on Capitol Hill for a congressman from Wisconsin.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rhodes College, Memphis, Tennessee.
