Jeb Bird

Jeb Bird is a behavioral health therapist for patients in the Older Adult and Grand View Programs. In this role, he provides individual therapy, facilitates groups, and helps with aftercare planning.

He focuses on building rapport with his patients to create a therapeutic bond that can move them from hopeless to hopeful, enlivened with the possibilities of their lives in recovery. Jeb’s work encompasses both patients and their families, emphasizing the importance of strong engagement to ensure that patients receive the treatment they need as well as post-treatment support and services.

Jeb came to Caron in 2024, with 47 years of experience in direct care, including leadership roles as CEO, clinical director, and regional director. In his 20 years of experience as a therapist, Jeb treated clients with mental health and substance use disorders in his own private practice and as a part of a psychiatric practice.

He worked with the Caron Foundation from 1982 until 1993, setting up a treatment program in Russia and before that, working as a clinical supervisor and director of Chit Chat farms.

Jeb is a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor with a Master of Science in Psychosocial Science from Penn State and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Susquehanna University. He also did post-graduate training in Gestalt therapy for three years.
