Landy Pollas

In this role, Landy helps to evaluate patients to diagnose substance use and mental health disorders and to determine medications that might be helpful for them. She loves helping her patients restore their well-being and health so they can move on to healthy, enjoyable lives in recovery.

She came to Caron in 2024, with more than 12 years of psychiatric experience, providing high-quality patient-centered care and safeguarding and promoting patient welfare. Landy’s therapeutic approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic techniques. She has treated patients as young as 5 and over 100. She has helped patients with various challenges in mental health, including anxiety, trauma, maladaptive coping skills, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship issues, ADHD, school issues, self-esteem problems, mood disorders such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Landy has worked in various settings, from mental health centers and a prison health system to outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and family counseling offices. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she was a nurse with experience working in a behavioral system unit, med-surg step-down unit, surgical transplant step-down unit, cardiac care unit, and ICU. She began her nursing career as a mental health technician.

In addition to being board-certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Landy is an advanced practice registered nurse. She has a Master of Science in Nursing – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Nova Southeastern University, Palm Beach Garden, Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University’s College of Nursing, Miramar, Florida.
