Lauren McClain

Lauren McClain is a behavioral health therapist in the Men’s Program. In this role, she provides individual therapy, facilitates groups, and helps with aftercare planning. She employs compassion and emphasizes accountability in her therapeutic approach, modeling healthy boundaries and creating a welcoming environment in which healing can take place.

Before coming to Caron in 2024, Lauren worked with veterans at another substance disorder treatment center for four and a half years. Prior to that position, she was an applied behavior analysis therapist working with autistic children for 13 years. With almost 20 years of experience in therapeutic techniques, she has an in-depth understanding of the interplay between behavior and the deep-rooted causes of that behavior. Helping patients to understand why they struggle enables them to make substantive changes.

Lauren is a licensed behavioral specialist with a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
