As the Alumni and Family Coordinator for Caron Florida, Lauren Simms supports alumni and families to keep them connected to Caron events, groups, resources, and other alumni. She helps them connect to recovery resources in their local community as well.

Lauren communicates with patients who will be discharged soon and with alumni to let them know about services, events, and supports that fit their needs. Her goal is to instill the assurance that Caron will always be there to support them in a strong and healthy recovery.

Before taking on this position in 2024, Lauren was a recovery advocate and a lead recovery advocate for two years, roles in which she supported and assisted patients to ensure their wellbeing and safety. She carries that compassion and empathy forward into her new role.

Lauren has a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida and is certified as a life coach.
