Mark Cummings is responsible for Caron’s accounting functions and takes a lead role in the budgeting process. His work includes financial planning and analysis to ensure that Caron has a good financial foundation to carry out its mission of offering life-saving treatment that enables recovery for life.

He sees his role as grounded in service to internal and external customers, which encompasses good listening and communication skills. He has a firm understanding of accounting principles and adheres to the highest level of integrity.

Mark came to Caron in this role in 2024, with more than 20 years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field. Most recently, he was an executive director for an addiction and behavioral treatment center, leading a team responsible for financial planning and analysis. In that role, he worked with all departments, from maintenance and clinical departments to the executive team, which gave him an in-depth understanding of a treatment center’s operations.

He has a Bachelor of Science in business with a major in accounting from the University of Minnesota.
