MS, BS, RMHCI
Florida
Myranda Brock is a primary therapist for patients in Florida’s outpatient programs. She provides individual and group therapy, offers support and education for family members, and works with patients to create a plan for the next phase of their recovery.
The foundation of her work is developing empathetic, therapeutic relationships with patients. Myranda approaches each patient as an individual to help them overcome challenges and transform their lives. She prioritizes each patient’s personal goals and assists them in increasing positive self-perception. She relies on proven therapeutic approaches, including solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and Gestalt therapy techniques.
Prior to coming to Caron in 2024, Myranda was a mental health counselor at two behavioral health treatment centers, providing treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. In those roles, she gained experience in treating clients with personality disorders, anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, trauma, and complex case management needs.
Myranda gained her initial experience as a clinical mental health Intern in a psychiatric unit at a medical center where she assisted clients in stabilizing severe mental health issues. She also collaborated with an interdisciplinary team to diagnose and develop treatment plans.
She has a Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University, Tallahassee.
