Sara Cubano
BA, CAAP
Pennsylvania, Florida
Sara Cubano’s goal is to ensure clinical appropriateness for Caron’s levels of care with each and every caller to ultimately see how Caron can meet their needs.
To do this, she provides clinical consult regarding psychiatric and medical diagnosis and other pertinent collateral information regarding program placement to facilitate an efficient response. She coordinates the admissions process so that it runs smoothly for everyone involved, from their first call to Caron to the day they leave treatment to begin their lives in recovery. Being able to offer people hope by providing resources for treatment that fits their needs and situation, whether at Caron or elsewhere, is fulfilling to her personally and professionally.
She has worked in Caron’s admissions department since 2018, first as an admissions specialist, then a lead admissions specialist before taking on her supervisory role in 2022 and moving into the clinical admissions process in 2024. Previous to Caron, Sara worked in various roles at other treatment and recovery facilities, from recovery specialist and recovery coach to medication-assisted treatment coordinator.
Before working in the substance use treatment field, Sara worked in advertising and marketing, where she gained experience in understanding how to connect with people and provide them with clear information targeted to their needs.
Sara is a certified allied addiction practitioner with a Bachelor of Arts in communications with a focus in public relations from Alvernia University, Reading, Pennsylvania. Sara is also currently enrolled in an MBA program at Alvernia University.
