Ted Staros

His role encompasses building accountability and providing motivation and constructive feedback as well as helping them create resumes, polish their interview skills, and target jobs that fit their goals. He also provides individual and vocational counseling. He collaborates with primary therapists and family therapists to ensure that patients are seeking employment opportunities that will benefit them and provide a solid foundation for their future after treatment, supporting a balance of work, life, and recovery.

Before taking on this role, Ted was a lead counselor assistant at Caron Renaissance with a focus on the Career Services Program, assisting the career services therapists while providing practical coaching to patients to help them build life skills such as time management and organization.

Ted has been with Caron since 2016, starting out as a counselor assistant before moving into the Career Services Program in 2022. He is a certified addiction counselor and is credentialed as an alcohol and drug counselor through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium.

Prior to coming to Caron, Ted worked in the food and beverage industry, managing restaurants and catering banquet departments. He has a Bachelor of Science in resort and hospitality management from Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, Florida.
