Caron Announces New Leadership and Innovative Enhancements at its Florida-Based Signature Program, Caron Renaissance
Initiative Supports Caron’s mission of Recovery for Life
Palm Beach County, Fl. (October 10, 2019) - Caron Treatment Centers, an internationally recognized not-for-profit dedicated to addiction and behavioral healthcare treatment, research, prevention and addiction medicine education, is excited to announce new leadership and enhanced services at its South Florida facilities, including its signature program, Caron Renaissance.
“We’ve always prided ourselves on our cutting-edge, quality and ethical treatment for individuals and families,” said Ariella Jonas, Vice President of the Florida Continuum, who now oversees clinical and medical services for Caron Renaissance and Caron Ocean Drive. “This is reflected in the evolution of our world-class programming.”
Caron Florida is launching a new treatment program for internet and video game disorder. The clinical team decided to develop the program after observing an increasing need to address it therapeutically.
“In this age of 24-7 connectivity, we realized there is an urgency for a program specific to treating digital addiction,” continues Jonas. “Our experts are specially trained to identify if an individual has an internet and video game disorder as well as any other co-occurring disorders.”
The program offers specialized housing to facilitate digital detox, core counseling that employs therapeutic modalities to address the disorder’s key features and specialty group therapy with an emphasis on patients working together to develop safe strategies for living in the real vs. online world. It also emphasizes family therapy and education to support emotional intimacy. As needed, the program also provides for an extended length of stay to support patients phasing-in the use of technology with the support and guidance of clinical staff.
