Caron Treatment Centers Appoints Kristine Bashore Chief Operating Officer

Bashore will continue to foster diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity

Wernersville, PA – June 15, 2022 - Caron Treatment Centers, a leading, internationally recognized non-profit dedicated to addiction and behavioral healthcare treatment, research, prevention, and addiction medicine education, announced that Kristine Bashore is Caron’s new Chief Operating Officer.

Bashore, who has been with the organization for more than 20 years, will lead the day-to-day operations at Caron and will continue to oversee the alignment of the organization’s resources with its new three-year strategic plan. This position formalizes the role Bashore has played for more than a year – managing the day-to-day operational functions of Caron, revitalizing and reinvigorating human resources and training teams, and managing the launch of The Keele Center, Caron’s state-of-the-art medical center expected to open in South Florida in early 2023.

In her role as Caron’s Chief Operating Officer, Bashore said she will prioritize engaging and providing growth opportunities for employees, producing excellent outcomes and standards, access to treatment through value-based insurance contracts, investing in innovative research, expanding Caron’s reach into more underserved communities, and fostering diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity.

She is responsible for the oversight of Caron’s facilities, human resources, training, quality, compliance, risk management, admissions, regional services, business development, marketing and communications. She previously held the roles of Chief Human Resource Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and, most recently, Chief Administrative Officer.

During her tenure at Caron, Bashore has been actively engaged in expanding services for patients and families on Caron’s campuses as well as regional locations across Caron’s continuum of services. Additionally, Bashore led the expansion from 265 staff members to more than 750 employees. Today, under her direction, Caron maintains a corporate turnover rate of 18%.

Prior to joining Caron, Bashore held human resources senior management positions with a pharmaceutical company and a regional financial institution. She holds a senior certified professional human resource certification from The Society of Human Resource Management and a bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University.
